The Residential Caseworker helps consumers achieve self-sufficiency by providing individualized interventions and support within a therapeutic residential mental health program. This role assists with medications, budgeting, self-care, and supportive counseling, utilizing a comprehensive and holistic approach to improve their lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide services as defined by the program description, best practice standards, licensure standards, and Recovery Model Principles
- Assist the program coordinator and provide education in areas of medications, budgeting, self-care, and supportive counseling to program residents
- Monitor the effectiveness of service delivery based on outcome measures and make changes to improve outcomes
- Develop and implement individualized service plans
- Develop and maintain linkages with adjunct providers to coordinate consumer services
- Identify resources beneficial to clients and encourage their utilization
- Intervene appropriately in crisis situations
- Provide instruction and hands-on support to promote skill development
- Support consumers in maintaining healthy relationships and resolving conflicts
- Maintain accurate records of billable services and submit records in a timely manner
Requirements
- Associate's Degree with 1 year experience in a human service-related field OR equivalent in training/experience
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Criminal Clearance
- Fingerprint-based federal criminal history
- Valid Driver’s License
- Verification that the employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list

- Knowledge of Supportive Counseling
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree with 1 year experience in a human service-related field OR equivalent in training/experience
- 1 year experience in a human service-related field
