Repair Machinist

About This Role

Operate various CNC and manual machines to perform repair processes on Jet Engine Aerospace parts, create tooling, or run production, following sketches, drawings, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently use set up tools such as edge finders, indicators, and dial gauges
• Perform set-ups per written or verbal instructions on various manual and CNC machines
• Utilize measuring equipment to support quality requirements
• Review and interpret complex work instructions, processes, and blueprints, and ask clarifying questions
• Plan, coordinate, and carry out simple to complex projects from start to finish
• Maintain machine and operator conformance of production parts
• Communicate discrepancies and non-conformances to immediate lead

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Two-year technical trade degree or completion of a machinist apprenticeship program (OJT acceptable)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• US work authorization

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two-year technical trade degree or completion of a machinist apprenticeship program. On Job Training (OJT) is acceptable.

• 1-year minimum experience on Manual Lathe and Bridgeport
• 1-year minimum experience on Electrostatic Discharge Machines
• 1-year minimum experience on CNC Vertical Machining Centers
• 1-year minimum experience on Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL)
• 1-year minimum experience on CNC Horizontal Boring Machine
• 1-year minimum experience on CNC Horizontal Mill w/pallet changer
• 1-year minimum experience on CNC Lathe
• 1-year minimum experience with Fanuc Controls
• 1-year minimum experience with Siemens Controls
• 1-year minimum experience interpreting G and M code
