About This Role

This role involves providing essential rehabilitation services within a deaf program, assisting individuals with daily living activities, money management, and personal development. The specialist will work to improve the lives of those impacted by mental health and substance use disorders within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation to individuals
  • Assist with money management and budgeting
  • Support in making appointments for clients
  • Offer diet coaching and nutritional guidance
  • Assist with shopping for groceries and personal items
  • Provide assistance with cleaning and maintaining living spaces
  • Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's)
  • Teach various life skills to promote independence

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in mental health/psychosocial rehabilitation or a similar field is preferred

Nice to Have

  • BA/BS/AA or education in a related field
  • At least one year of experience in mental health/psychosocial rehabilitation or a similar field
