Implement the Recovery Model, working with residents to promote hope, autonomy, and self-determination for individuals affected by mental health and substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Prompt residents to start their day and assist with daily activities
- Monitor medication and facilitate transportation
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Make appointments
- Assist with cleaning and cooking
- Provide overall caregiving support
- Support individuals in their recovery journey from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field is preferred
- At least one year of experience in the mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Arts degree in a human services field
