Rehab Aide

About This Role

This role involves assisting physical therapists in patient care by preparing treatment areas, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring equipment is functioning correctly. The technician will contribute to the ongoing assessment and treatment plan implementation for patients in an outpatient clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and ongoing assessment of patients
• Provide treatment according to the treatment plan of patients evaluated by a Physical Therapist
• Assist physical therapists with patient care activities
• Treat patients by applying heat packs and helping them onto exercise equipment
• Monitor patient motion and performance of prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques
• Sterilize and deliver equipment and supplies to the treatment area
• Position equipment for therapist access and position patients on the equipment
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Ensure operation of physical therapy equipment by performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions
• Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing orders
• Observe and note patient's development and response during therapy sessions

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred
