Registered Nurse / Week Night RN On Call

About This Role

Provide on-call nursing care to hospice patients during weeknights, performing assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. This role involves making patient visits and being available for work-related phone calls outside of regular business hours.

Responsibilities

• Make patient visits each week as an On Call RN
• Resolve patient issues by phone when possible
• Be available for work-related phone calls throughout the scheduled "after hours" and/or weekend work hours
• Accept work-related phone calls without allowing them to go to voicemail unless assisting another patient

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation
• Sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and elements of patient family teaching

Qualifications

• Nursing experience required, with experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
