About This Role

Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process within a Telemetry Unit. This role involves direct patient care, guiding patient/family teaching, and communicating changes in patient conditions to physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
  • Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching
  • Direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit
  • Be directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients
  • Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Nice to Have

  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience
  • Ventilator Management experience
  • Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications

ACLS Certificate (Required) BLS certificate (Required) Basic Arrythmia Interpretation (Required) Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) (Required)
