Serve as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room at Good Samaritan University Hospital, performing circulating and scrubbing duties across a variety of surgical procedures, while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub in a variety of surgeries including general, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic trauma, plastics, robotic, pediatrics
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Advocate for patients through safety intervention and support
Requirements
- 1+ years of Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience
- Completion of a Periop 101 course or equivalent perioperative fellowship/residency
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree (will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program)
- 1+ years of Main Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) experience
