About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) New Graduate position at Select Specialty Hospital involves providing compassionate and excellent inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. This role is crucial in supporting patients through vulnerable times, focusing on extended healing and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assure implementation of the assessment plan, evaluation, and follow-up of the plan of care for the patient population in collaboration with the physician and preceptor.
• Initiate an ongoing systematic assessment of the physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs of patients and their families.
• Interpret assessment data and information to develop a nursing care plan including problem identification, nursing diagnosis, nursing orders, interventions, goals, and discharge planning.
• Participate as a productive member of the interdisciplinary team in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of rehabilitation goals.
• Assure that documents in the medical record are complete, factual, accurate, and timely.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program for registered nursing.
• Valid State RN License upon start date.
• BLS certification at hire.
• Flexibility of scheduling.
