Physical Therapist

About This Role

This Physical Therapist (PT) role involves providing compassionate, excellent treatment to chronic, critically ill patients in a critical illness recovery hospital setting, focusing on post-ICU services and extended healing.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Promote continuous quality improvement
• Teach and counsel patients/families
• Set goals and develop treatment plans
• Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs
• Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising PT and PTA students
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens
• Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions, as needed
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment
