About This Role

This role involves overseeing the daily operations of staff, ensuring quality general and psychiatric care for patients with substance abuse or psychiatric disorders, and assisting with scheduling, education, and discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Assist administration staff in overseeing and assisting all staff in all functions to ensure the provision of quality general and psychiatric care to patients suffering from substance abuse or psychiatric disorders
  • Oversee the day to day activities of staff in all CCD and nursing areas
  • Assist department managers with scheduling, education and discipline of staff when needed
  • Be involved in direct patient care, education and training
  • Review documentation and work with staff to ensure that documentation is timely, accurate and complete
  • Potentially serve as a working RN and routinely personally execute nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing
  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing
  • CPR certification within 30 days
  • Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Nice to Have

  • Valid driver's license
