Registered Nurse PRN

About This Role

This Registered Nurse (PRN) role at Paragon Infusion Centers involves administering ordered therapies, performing patient assessments, and educating patients/families on therapy plans. The nurse will ensure all medication orders are complete and accurate while adhering to relevant medical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties within the Nurse's scope of practice, facility policies/procedures, INS Standards of practice, and approved facility protocols
• Administer ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures
• Complete admission process as directed by Center Director
• Perform physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis
• Refer to the NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed
• Document all pertinent data in the patient's medical record
• Report all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follow up on any identified problem
• Evaluate the patient's response to therapy and document findings in the medical record
• Educate patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan
• Ensure all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment
• Understand and adhere to all applicable state, local and Federal laws and / or regulations including maintaining patient confidentiality through abiding by HIPAA laws/regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
• Current unrestricted RN license in applicable state
• Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test
• Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver

Qualifications

• ASN or ADN
• 2+ years of clinical experience

• 2+ years of experience with IV
• Port, PICC & Peripheral Line experience
• Medication Mixing experience
• Titration experience
• BSN
• Multi-state license
