Registered Nurse - OR Circulator

About This Role

Serve as a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center operating rooms, assisting physicians during surgical procedures and supervising patient care before, during, and after surgery for a single-specialty clinic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies; assist with inventory to maintain availability and stock levels
• Aid physicians during surgical procedures, ensuring proper techniques and procedures are used according an accepted standards of practice
• Effectively organize time, equipment, supplies, and operating room activities; consider staff abilities when delegating activities; maintain order and cleanliness of admission area
• Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient; use equipment effectively by anticipating patient needs and providing appropriate care
• Develop a plan of care for the patient based on assessment data and implement admission care and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques

Requirements

• Nursing degree from an accredited school
• One (1) year experience as a circulating nurse in Neurosurgery
• Active RN license
• CPR certified
• ACLS certification

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school
• 1 year of experience as a circulating nurse in Neurosurgery

Nice to Have

• Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center
