Registered Nurse - Newborn Nursery

About This Role

Provide specialized nursing care to newborn infants in the nursery, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. Support new parents in early infant care and maintain professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching
• Direct and guide activities of other nursing personnel
• Maintain standards of professional nursing
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment
• Provide for a safe environment for patients and visitors
• Utilize the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care from post delivery stabilization through discharge

Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State
• BCLS certification upon hire and maintain current
• NRP certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current
