The Recruitment Assistant will support the recruitment process for AHRC NYC, a large service provider for individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves screening and processing new employees, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Recruiter at presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs
- Screen and process new employees according to company policy and assure compliance with all local, state and federal laws
- Review applications and interview applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements
- Provide information about the organization and positions to applicants
- File and maintain employment records on all applicants
- Notify applicants regarding their acceptance for employment
- Process new hire packets in a timely fashion, ensuring required screenings are completed
- Complete required screenings in compliance with laws: finger printing, drug screening, references, certification and education verification, W-4 and I-9 forms, physicals, and medical screenings
- Complete data entry to activate new hire staff, update compliance status of incumbent staff, and update training activities
- Process activations, updates and terminations in the crescent system
- Compile weekly and monthly reports to monitor and track productivity
- Run forecasting compliance reports for incumbent staff and ensure timely scheduling of mandatory training and medical screenings
- Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure effective communication and follow-up
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- Strong computer and statistical reporting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with colleagues, staff, consumers and other service stakeholders
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training
