Provide therapeutic social, recreational, and diversional events for elderly participants in a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Assess individual needs, develop activity plans, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of therapeutic social, recreational, and diversional events for participants
- Conduct individual assessments to identify participants' individual interests/needs
- Develop and implement an appropriate variety of individual and group activities
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning
- Coordinate recreation documentation for assigned group of participants
- Assist with training and supervising assigned aides
- Lead facility-wide participant-centered events
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification within 6 months (180 days) of hire
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy.
Nice to Have
- 2 years providing recreation with the elderly or disabled
