Recreation Aide - Special Events

About This Role

This position assists in the execution of community special events, focusing on day-of operations, including event preparation, setup, and teardown, and providing on-site coordination and vendor support.

Responsibilities

• Support event logistics, including venue setup, registration, signage, and volunteer management
• Prepare and maintain event materials, and access inventory levels before and after events
• Provide on-site support during events, including guest check-in, coordination of activities, and troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Support marketing and outreach efforts, including social media posts, flyers, and community engagement
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation to various locations on time
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
