Receiving/Supply Specialist

About This Role

The Receiving/Supply Specialist ensures safety, receives and unloads goods while checking for damages and discrepancies, and maintains accurate records of shipments and inventory. This role involves communicating with vendors, coordinating shipping activities, and delivering items to storage areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by following all safety protocols and procedures
• Receive and unload shipments, requiring forklift certification
• Inspect goods for damage, verify quantity and quality, and report discrepancies
• Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Process and maintain paperwork for orders, delivery details, and shipping/receiving activities
• Arrange for transportation of products and calculate shipping costs
• Deliver items to and from storage areas
• Organize inventory records for easy retrieval
• Communicate with vendors to follow up on orders and report delays or problems
• Coordinate shipping activities with external parties

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience
• Forklift certified
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more
• Familiarity with proper packaging methods
