Radiology Technologist

About This Role

Perform diagnostic imaging exams such as X-rays, CT scans, or MRIs to aid physicians in accurately diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role operates imaging equipment, positions patients, and maintains detailed records while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT, or MRI machines
• Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images
• Follow safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure
• Review images for clarity and quality before submitting them to physicians
• Maintain and clean imaging equipment and rooms
• Explain procedures to patients and provide comfort throughout the process
• Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation

Requirements

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program
• NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility or Hospital Outpatient Department Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R)
• NH Medical Group Office Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography - RT(R)
• Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories
• Analytical ability and basic computer skills
• Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age
• Ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
• Good communication skills
• Capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms
• Working knowledge of various types of x-ray equipment
• Able to adapt to various situations and procedures

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, preferred 2 Year / Associate Degree
• One year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred

Nice to Have

• One year experience in diagnostic radiology
• NH Medical Registry-eligible in Radiography by ARRT
