About This Role

The Radiologic/CT Technologist works under the supervision of the Imaging Department Director to perform Imaging/CT procedures and related duties, assuring patient safety and operating equipment accurately and efficiently for radiological diagnosis. This role also involves providing guidance to radiologic technology students and assisting with scheduling imaging appointments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Imaging/CT procedures on patients of all ages and for all organizational areas
  • Examine provider's orders to ensure proper tests are completed
  • Instruct and prepare patients for procedures
  • Assure patient safety through screening, shielding, immobilization, and age-specific techniques
  • Operate equipment accurately and efficiently using proper technical factors and following procedure protocols
  • Obtain and prepare CT procedures for reading using image reconstruction and post processing techniques
  • Obtain and evaluate images for quality and technical clarity, then prepare them for reading
  • Provide guidance and instruction for radiologic technology students
  • Assist with scheduling imaging appointments

Requirements

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registered
  • ARRT CT certified or obtained post completion of competencies within 1 year
  • Basic Life Support certified or obtain within 4 months
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
