Radar Signal Processing Engineer

About This Role

Develop and implement advanced radar signal processing algorithms and systems, working with cutting-edge technologies to design, test, and analyze radar functionalities. This role involves modeling and simulation to demonstrate performance, contributing to solutions for advanced radar image products, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement algorithms for advanced radar systems
• Work with antennas, transmit and receive chains, radar system modeling, ground moving target identification, electronic warfare, maritime surveillance, image processing, algorithm development for advanced radar image products/exploitation
• Design, develop, and analyze radar systems and software architectures
• Design, implement, and test algorithms for detection, discrimination, and tracking systems
• Model and simulate system designs to demonstrate performance metrics
• Develop unique solutions and efficient implementations of signal processing algorithms
• Leverage tools such as IDL, MATLAB, Python or C++ to analyze data and generate algorithms
• Analyze system level signal propagation, RF system performance, and requirements development
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, program management, and senior leadership teams

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional experience in radar signal processing
• Hands-on experience with MATLAB
• Strong analytical skills and an understanding of radar signal processing techniques
• Experience with algorithm development, probability, and statistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
• 3-5+ years of professional experience in radar signal processing

Nice to Have

• Experience with C++ is preferred
