Rad Tech

About This Role

The Rad Tech will ensure patient safety and comfort, perform C-Arm fluoroscopy-assisted exams, and assist in surgical procedures at an outpatient pain management practice in Augusta.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with their needs and concerns, ensuring safety and comfort, and assisting in transporting them
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, center, and physician related information
• Observe changes in patient symptoms and report to physician or charge nurse
• Prep patients for procedures using sterile technique
• Maintain sterile field during surgical procedures
• Expedite room turnover, cleaning and restocking the Operating Room
• Clean autoclave weekly and flush system monthly
• Ensure accurate instrument count during large procedures
• Scrub/assist in surgery, anticipating team needs
• Perform C-Arm fluoroscopy-assisted exams
• Regularly inspect equipment and initiate repair requisitions when needed
• Assist in training new personnel
• Manage inventory

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduate of a certified surgical technology program or sufficient in-house training
• Current BLS
• Knowledgeable of equipment, instrumentation and supplies
• Working knowledge of eClinical
• Strong customer service skills
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others
• Ability to work independently with detail and accuracy
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving several variables

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
