Perform visual inspections of printed circuit boards using magnification equipment to identify and segregate flaws. This role involves meticulous inspection, detailed reporting, and adherence to safety and quality standards, contributing to the delivery of high-quality technology products.
Responsibilities
- Perform all types of visual inspection related to printed circuit boards using magnification equipment
- Segregate and identify circuit boards with flaws
- Inspect each board and identify errors and defects
- Perform First Article/AS9102 report and review for correctness
- Perform final count of acceptable and rejected boards
- Proficient use of inspection tools (i.e. Surface plate, gauges, pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, AOI, OPTEK)
- Perform minor rework/return to conformance
- Compare shop traveler quantity to final count and notify COLT (tracking system) in cases of discrepancy
- Complete report, sign traveler and input data into COLT (non-conformance report)
- Obtain final report package (deliverable) and move to the shipping department
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe, neat and orderly workplace
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Good grasp of basic arithmetic in reference to instructions where interpretations are required
- Ability to visually verify fine detail work
- Ability to comprehend and follow directions regarding inspecting printed circuit boards
- Ability to lift 15 pounds without straining
Nice to Have
- Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)
