Support the quality team by conducting preliminary research, data analysis, and testing to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with relevant quality standards for medical equipment manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data to better define process improvement opportunities
- Assist with maintaining and improving the quality system in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDSAP, FDA 21 CFR Part 820/211, EU MDR
- Help support complaint/CAPA investigations, supplier quality improvement, and operations production
- Support product and service quality improvement using statistical techniques
- Implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality
- Assist in quality management system training program
- Communicate and present testing results and milestones
- Assist in efforts associated with Installation Qualifications, Operational Qualifications and Process Qualifications
- Assist in Lean tools and principles including set-up reduction, standard work, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving
- Perform duties related to calibration/maintenance activities
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering
- Completed junior year requirements by May 2026
- Ability to collect & analyze data
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Organizational, communication, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Self-motivated and shows initiative
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, or chemical preferred)
Nice to Have
- Previous internship or co-op experience within a technical field
- Actively involved in an engineering or technical competition team or cross-disciplinary project team
