Quality Assurance Analyst

About This Role

The QA Analyst will provide comprehensive quality assurance and testing services for financial systems to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing applications. This role involves supporting application development, Oracle database services, and integration efforts related to Florida PALM and FLAIR.

Responsibilities

• Support application development and Oracle database services for financial systems
• Develop and maintain applications using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL
• Provide integration support for Florida PALM and FLAIR
• Apply expertise in QA methodologies and test automation tools
• Ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing application environments
• Align technical practices with State of Florida accounting practices and PCI compliance

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance
• Strong proficiency in QA methodologies, functional and regression testing, and test automation frameworks
• Experience with performance testing, troubleshooting, and validating application stability across environments
• Familiarity with enterprise systems integration and data validation processes
• Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI
• Hands-on experience with QA tools and components (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Oracle WebLogic Server)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with State of Florida accounting practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including test planning, execution, and defect management.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing and maintaining automated test suites for complex applications
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and participation in Scrum ceremonies
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
• Knowledge of application and data security best practices in QA processes
• Experience working in government or public sector environments with regulatory compliance requirements
• Exposure to RESTful services testing and API validation
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and continuous process improvement
• QA-related certifications (e.g., ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Analyst)
