QA Test Lead

About This Role

Lead quality assurance and Agile delivery for customer-facing IT solutions, overseeing all aspects of testing throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. Strategically plan and execute testing activities, establishing DevOps practices and implementing automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration, deployment, and automated testing
• Serve as Scrum Master for cross-functional teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams through Agile transformations
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, covering functional, regression, system, systems integration, and data quality testing
• Lead the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts and regression beds, leveraging tools such as Selenium
• Establish and continuously improve QA processes, including test planning, defect tracking, compliance, and risk mitigation
• Build, mentor, and manage high-performing QA and Agile teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables and seamless integration of QA into development cycles
• Address challenges in integrating QA and DevOps into ongoing development, overcoming resistance, and driving adoption of best practices
• Track and report on QA metrics, Agile progress, risks, and release readiness to leadership

Requirements

• Regression testing, system testing, systems integration testing, and QA data quality
• Setting up and optimizing DevOps pipelines and CI/CD processes
• Leading Agile teams and coaching on Agile best practices
• Strategic test planning and execution for complex enterprise applications
• Automated testing using industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in software testing, QA leadership, and Agile environments

Nice to Have

• Experience in utility or energy sector IT projects
• Familiarity with customer engagement platforms and digital transformation initiatives
• Ability to manage decentralized teams across multiple time zones
