This Project Supervisor position involves leading a cleaning team across multiple locations to ensure efficient execution of maintenance within set deadlines. The role includes performing a variety of cleaning and minor repair tasks, while also prioritizing safety and effective team management.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team and perform cleaning work in multiple locations within a defined geographical area
- Coordinate personnel for projects, including communicating schedules
- Clean floor and carpet surfaces, including carpet extractions
- Wash windows, glass panels, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning supplies
- Perform minor wall repairs
- Collect and empty trash
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks
- Follow all procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and electrical equipment
- Monitor building safety and security by performing tasks such as locking doors and checking electrical appliance usage
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of building maintenance and cleaning procedures and related safety requirements
- Proficiency in tool and machine maintenance, including basic repair and troubleshooting procedures
- Ability to meet general customer expectations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including time management, prioritizing tasks, and setting clear expectations
- Ability to resolve requests and concerns in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage work and lead a team in a complex, task-oriented cleaning operations environment
- Ability to provide timely and efficient escalation resolution for facilities issues
- Ability to track supplies and task/performance data, document and submit reports, and supply orders
- Ability to handle calls, supervise, follow up, and document escalations in a dynamic, customer-focused environment
- Relationship management skills and ability to build client relationships
- Proficiency in speaking and writing in English
