Project Scheduler

About This Role

The Project Scheduler III will develop, manage, and maintain large-scale program schedules using Primavera (P6) software. This role involves analyzing schedule progress, forecasting timelines, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera (P6) scheduling software.
• Coordinate with project managers and teams to gather input and validate schedule data.
• Integrate across multiple schedules.
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule quality analysis, track milestones, and monitor schedule performance.
• Identify schedule risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Generate regular reports, including look-ahead schedules, progress updates, and variance analysis.

Requirements

• Understand how to operate in a P6 environment (layouts, activity codes, resources, group & sort, reporting).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Able to interact and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
• Able to participate fully in all outage and department meetings and discussions.
• Ability to resource and cost-load schedules and run Earned Value Management reports.
• Familiarity with large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• High School Education but candidates with Associate's Degree, Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree will be factored into the select

Nice to Have

• Generation plant knowledge of how a plant operates.
• Prior work experience in plant outages.
• Knowledge of Schedule Quality practices in regards to P6 schedules.
• Proficient in Power BI and the creation and use of new Power BI reports.
• PMP or other PMI certification.
• PSP or CST or other AACEI certification.
