Project Manager (Steel Fabrication)

About This Role

Manage structural steel projects from planning and implementation to ensuring productivity, schedule adherence, cost control, quality, and safety for Zalk Josephs Fabricators, focusing on customer relationships and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency
• Oversee and coordinate the planning and implementation of structural steel projects
• Manage project productivity, schedule, costs, quality and safety consistent with company policies and practices
• Manage assigned projects including working with local team to develop processes for delivering total steel solutions
• Read steel shop drawings and structural drawings
• Supervise the activity and development of Assistant Project Managers
• Monitor the overall safety and quality issues on the project
• Assist with the development and coordination of material and fabrication schedules and promote their efficient use
• Manage and coordinate all subcontractor and vendor contracts and associated processes and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented with ability to analyze and organize significant amounts of information
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or an equivalent combination of education and professional project management experience

Nice to Have

• Experienced developing and delivering sales presentations and negotiating contracts in the construction industry
