Production Worker

Join a team at Reed Minerals to produce high-quality abrasive, roofing, and filtration products. This hands-on role involves general production activities, ensuring safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all general day-to-day production activities, including bagging, load-out, fork-lift operations, and hauling materials in trucks
• Load trucks following shipping requirements and inspect all trucks before loading in compliance with site safety practices
• Load vehicles evenly with material to appropriate weight
• Keep loading areas, loadout plant area, and other plant areas clean of material and debris
• Operate bagging equipment to bag and palletize material
• Perform pre-start-up checks of equipment and complete associated forms or inspections
• Load trucks with bagged material, ensuring products match and placement is careful
• Operate a forklift safely and fill out daily mobile equipment logs (if certified)
• Complete quality testing as required and log all analysis properly on pick slips
• Notify the plant operator when materials for bagging production are needed
• Log blends for their duration and follow proper QC standards (if blends are performed)
• Notify management and office administrators of material shortages, gradation problems, loading time changes, unusual noises, or potential mechanical problems
• Assist maintenance in repairing any mechanical equipment, when necessary
• Complete and maintain all related paperwork as directed by management daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass company physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
• Ability to twist/bend/stand for long durations
• Ability to walk frequently as positions and locations change
• Ability to work at varying heights
• Ability to work in uneven terrain with exposure to varying weather conditions

Qualifications

• High School diploma, or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Forklift certification
• Front-end loader certification
