Production Team Member

About This Role

The Production Team Member plays an essential role in a food manufacturing environment, assisting with the production of specialty cheeses. This position involves operating machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining sanitation standards to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of machinery and equipment used in the cheese making process to ensure efficient production.
• Work closely with other production associates to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
• Load and unload raw materials and cheese using food manufacturing equipment, including hoists and conveyor systems.
• Safely and efficiently move products and materials within the facility, utilizing electric pallet jacks or hand trucks.
• Ensure all equipment and materials are set up and readily available for production activities.
• Observe and monitor production lines to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular quality checks and complete quality documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Ensure accurate labeling and adherence to Affinage guidelines.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and work areas following proper sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Adhere to food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA).

Requirements

• Ability to safely operate electric pallet jacks
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change
• Ability to work overtime or extend shifts as needed
