The Production Maintenance Mechanic (2nd Shift) ensures the safe and reliable operation of oral dosage manufacturing equipment through maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and participation in equipment changeover and setup.
Responsibilities
- Participate in equipment changeover and set up as required
- Maintain inventory of necessary replacement parts to decrease machine downtime
- Research, request, and/or purchase of components and/or equipment
- Perform maintenance activities in a safe, clean and efficient manner
- Perform all duties in accordance with applicable SOP’s, cGMP, and safety
- Complete required paperwork and documentation, work orders and cGMP documents in a clear, accurate and timely manner
- Assist in installation and retrofit of equipment (Including qualification activities)
- Ensure Maintenance Team Leadership is informed of all developments on a routine basis
- Troubleshoot equipment as necessary, working with equipment owners, engineers and equipment vendors
- Be involved in developing solutions for equipment issues
- Provide hands-on assistance to manufacturing and packaging processes
- Assist Maintenance Management in all areas as directed
