Produce Team Member

About This Role

As a Produce Team Member, you will support the Produce department by maintaining fresh and appealing displays, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service in accordance with Whole Foods Market standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked
• Front-face, check codes, rotate, and remove out-of-date products
• Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
• Monitor and prevent spoilage, communicating waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
• Assist with periodic inventory checks
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs of customers in a timely and effective manner
• Model suggestive selling techniques, answer phones and pages promptly and courteously
• Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to stand/walk 6-8 hours per day
• Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
• Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
