Supervise and provide Process Control Engineering and Project Management oversight for personnel across various construction materials facilities, focusing on design, installation, and maintenance of control systems. This role ensures adherence to safe operating standards and contributes to the continuous improvement of process control engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide Process Control Engineering and Project Management oversight for assigned personnel regarding all process control projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Supervise process control design services from conceptual through final installation for all construction materials facilities.
- Supervise the development of PLC and HMI programs for aggregate facilities.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of plant networks, wireless systems, and firewalls.
- Serve as Corporation's representative to interface with and provide technical guidance to system integrators and construction contractors.
- Supervise assigned personnel in providing cost estimates and project schedules for capital and expense projects.
- Supervise the support of existing facilities to maintain and upgrade existing control systems.
- Mentor/instruct Regional electrical staff and PCEs on safe and best practices in electrical systems.
- Create and provide training for Regional Electrical Staff and PCEs to improve troubleshooting skills and construction methods.
- Review and develop reports to show the effectiveness of process control engineering and automation optimization.
- Maintain knowledge of current methods, best practices, and code standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA).
- Develop technical specifications and purchase requisitions for process control equipment.
- Provide input to the creation and modification of Corporate Standards, Specifications, and Policies.
Requirements
- Identifying electrical problems
- Troubleshooting electrical systems
- Field installation experience (electrical)
- Strong skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley, GE, Wonderware, and Historian Software systems
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, computer, PLC, and HMI programming
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in the design and installation of heavy industrial control systems, preferably in aggregates or related industry.
Nice to Have
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional engineering license
- Experience with AutoCad
- Knowledge of SQL Server and other reporting software
- Knowledge of computer networking
