Press Operator

About This Role

Assist press operators by conducting quality checks, performing 5S duties, and managing material handling to ensure efficient and safe operations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Load steel onto payoff wheel
• Stage steel
• Dump scrap hoppers
• Print labels
• Use a variety of gauges to ensure quality
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Label, scan, and move product per specifications
• Enter data into Measurlink
• Follow all company rules, regulations, and work processes
• Perform 5S responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with operating a forklift
• Basic computer knowledge
• Great organizational and time management abilities
• Attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional demeanor
• Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Ability to work overtime
