President Kelso Southwest

About This Role

This role will build and lead Kelso Southwest, a new operating company, from the ground up by establishing the team, operating model, and long-term growth strategy. The President will be accountable for operational excellence, financial performance, client relationships, and culture in the industrial mechanical construction sector.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision, growth plan, and operating model for Kelso Southwest
• Build scalable systems, structure, and processes to support long-term growth
• Identify market opportunities and expand client relationships and service offerings
• Lead all core functions including operations, construction, preconstruction/estimating, fabrication, safety, quality, and finance
• Establish operational discipline through KPIs, project reviews, and reporting rhythms
• Ensure consistent, high-quality project execution from planning through closeout
• Own full P&L, forecasting, budgeting, and margin performance
• Improve profitability through strong estimating, cost control, and project management
• Build trusted relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners
• Build and lead a high-performing team across field and office roles

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in mechanical contracting or industrial construction
• Proven track record building or scaling operations and leading large teams
• Strong knowledge of mechanical scopes (process/utility piping, HVAC, fabrication, welding, rigging)
• Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related); Master’s preferred
• Senior leadership experience in mechanical contracting or industrial construction; Proven track record building or scaling operations and leading large teams; Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial leadership
