Prepared Foods Team Member (Deli Service Counter & Culinary Venues)

About This Role

This role supports the Prepared Foods team by preparing, stocking, and serving various hot and cold food items, ensuring high standards of sanitation and freshness. It involves providing excellent customer service in accordance with Whole Foods Market's core values and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cut, prepare, and serve a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
• Sample products to customers
• Stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods
• Check in-stock product dates and rotate when necessary to ensure freshness
• Bail and consolidate recyclables
• Assist Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
• Assist with periodic inventory checks
• Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs, and model suggestive selling techniques
• Maximize sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
• Follow and comply with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health, sanitation, and safe work practices
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and equipment
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensuring accuracy of signs and pricing
• Immediately report safety hazards and violations
