About This Role

This role involves preparing food items from scratch for various meal services, ensuring adherence to menus, recipes, and sanitation guidelines. The Prep Cook will coordinate food service with other departments and contribute to a smooth kitchen operation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items from scratch for lunch, dinner, and catering needs
• Review menus prior to food preparation to ensure accuracy
• Assure that all food procedures are followed consistently
• Coordinate food service activities with other departments as necessary
• Adhere to all sanitation guidelines and practices
• Become familiar with new menu items and dishes

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of food preparation experience
• Demonstrated cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
• Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements

Nice to Have

• Graduate of a culinary institute, military school, or formal on-the-job training
• Experience with quantity food preparation
