Practice Leader, Air Quality

About This Role

This role will oversee air quality permitting and compliance projects while driving business development efforts across various sectors in Texas. The position involves managing client relationships, ensuring regulatory adherence, and providing technical execution for air quality assessments and permitting strategies, with a long-term path to an executive role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert overseeing and managing air quality permitting and compliance projects, including NSR, PSD, Title V, and minor source permits for facilities throughout Texas
• Ensure compliance with state and federal air quality regulations, including TCEQ rules and Clean Air Act requirements
• Drive business development efforts by securing repeat business, attending conferences and networking events, leveraging professional networks, and building a strong industry reputation
• Lead operational strategy for the air quality group with C-suite and other key leaders to determine long-term business objectives, track profit and loss, and optimize team performance
• Mentor junior staff and review technical work for quality and regulatory accuracy

Requirements

• Experience with NSR, PSD, Title V, and minor source permits in Texas
• Strong knowledge of state and federal level regulations
• Exceptional business development acumen
• Excellent project management skills and technical background in air quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or related field
