Pool Maintenance Agent

About This Role

This role is for a versatile and motivated individual to join as a swimming pool maintenance agent after a training period. The primary responsibility will be to ensure the daily upkeep, water quality, and general maintenance of a swimming pool facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of the swimming pool area, including cleaning beaches, changing rooms, reception hall, and offices using an auto-scrubber and single-brush machine
• Vacuum pools with a robot and drain/clean footbaths
• Maintain water quality by cleaning pre-filters and filters twice a week, adding water daily, checking chlorine gas bottles and pressure gauges
• Correct pH, chlorine levels, and flocculation as needed
• Analyze and transcribe daily water parameters (chlorine, pH, temperature) and address any malfunctions
• Ensure filtration, chlorination, and water treatment equipment are in perfect working order, performing general inspections and first-line maintenance
• Maintain and perform first-line maintenance on cleaning equipment (robot, auto-scrubber)
• Carry out various repairs within the pool area (painting, electricity, minor plumbing work)
• Conduct major cleaning operations, including descaling and disinfecting floors and tiled vertical surfaces during required basin draining operations
• Manage inventory of materials and cleaning products
• Assist with green space maintenance if external provider is unavailable, clean the forecourt, and collect waste/leaves around the facility
• Perform minor DIY activities in other departments as needed

Requirements

• Ability to swim
• Technical knowledge of swimming pool installations
• Experience handling chemical products and Chlorine
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to report to the pool Director
