Piano Instructor

About This Role

The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District is seeking an experienced Piano Instructor to lead engaging and inclusive piano classes at the Elsie Stuhr Center. This role involves developing and teaching piano lessons for all skill levels in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach piano classes, workshops, or programs in a recreational setting
• Create a supportive, hands-on learning environment for participants
• Develop lessons that cover all aspects of learning to play the piano
• Provide guidance and feedback tailored to different learning styles and experience levels
• Prepare materials, set up equipment, and ensure the safety of participants and the activity space

Requirements

• Over two (2) years of experience teaching piano or working professionally in the field
• Specialized training in the subject area
• Strong communication and teaching skills, with a welcoming and inclusive approach
• Ability to work independently and adapt lessons to meet group needs
