About This Role

Support physical, occupational, and speech therapists in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting by assisting patients with treatments, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean environment. This role is crucial for facilitating patient care and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients to reach examination and treatment rooms
• Facilitate therapy initial assessments and basic diagnostic tests with supervising therapists via videoconference
• Perform treatments under the direct supervision of licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists
• Support physical, occupational, and speech-language pathologists with complicated treatments and assist patients with physical activities
• Assist with maintaining and updating patient records and scheduling patients
• Manage patient mobility within the facility and transport for therapy appointments
• Sterilize therapeutic equipment and ensure facilities are kept clean and tidy
• Safely dispose of hazardous waste and soiled materials
• Provide optimal positioning for videoconferencing platforms to provide telehealth services with patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Advanced ability to manage patient mobility and transportation needs
• Ability to maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment in line with regulations
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, as well as a caring nature
• Physically fit to assist immobile, injured, and frail patients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in health care encouraged to apply, indicating entry-level.
