About This Role

Provide exceptional and compassionate physical therapy care to patients with a diverse range of conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, and orthopedic issues. Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
  • Promote continuous quality improvement
  • Teach and counsel patients/families
  • Set goals and develop treatment plans
  • Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs
  • Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, as well as supervising PT and PTA students
  • Conduct individual patient therapy regimens
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment and modify treatment during sessions, as needed
  • Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment
