Physical Therapist - Outpatient

About This Role

This Physical Therapist role involves autonomous delivery of outpatient physical therapy treatment, including patient evaluation, treatment plan development, and progress monitoring. The position also contributes to program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatment autonomously, via referral or direct to consumer
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Assess patients and monitor progress toward treatment goals
• Ensure patient needs are met through access to care, patient experience, and quality of care metrics
• Assist in program development and enhancement to meet patient and community needs
• Perform evaluations and provide treatment programs to facilitate patient-specific goals
• Assess the patient’s response to treatment and recommend treatment plan changes as appropriate
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures
• Attain established productivity levels set forth by administration
• Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, respecting privacy and adjusting communication style

Requirements

• Current physical therapy license in the state of practice OR eligibility for licensure by examination OR reciprocity from another state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain flexible with fluctuating schedules based on patient demand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in physical therapy
