Physical Therapist

About This Role

This role involves performing objective assessments and individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients under the supervision of Therapy Leadership. The Physical Therapist will provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision to rehabilitation technicians, while adhering to departmental policies and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments for adult and geriatric patients
• Develop and implement comprehensive individualized treatment programs
• Provide direct supervision to patients
• Indirectly supervise rehabilitation technicians
• Generally supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts
• Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards

Requirements

• Current Physical Therapy license in state of practice
• BLS certified

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy

Nice to Have

• Six months to one year experience in rehabilitation physical therapy
• Experience with care for adult and geriatric patients
