Physical Therapist - Journey Travel PT

About This Role

This role involves providing physical therapy services as a nationwide traveling therapist for 13-week assignments. Assess, develop, and deliver personalized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation and instruct patients and caregivers in therapeutic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments
• Assess the need for, develop, and deliver physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation
• Identify the need for and make referral(s) to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs
• Implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance
• Instruct, educate, and train patients and caregivers in skills and functions essential for promoting independence and productivity
• Direct activities to promote and maintain health
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel
• Ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehab services and timely documentation
• Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other related meetings
• Consult with other rehabilitation team members to select appropriate therapeutic regimens

Requirements

• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice
• Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or Master's in a PT related field + Bachelor's in PT; or Bachelor's in PT + 5 years of experience
• Ability to travel and temporarily reside in locations outside primary home

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with 5 years of experience
