Physical Therapist

About This Role

This role involves implementing physical therapy treatment programs for pediatric patients with various disabilities or delays, assisting them to regain physical and cognitive functioning while educating caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality care by performing evaluations, interpreting assessment results, and developing goals appropriate to each child.
• Create and implement physical therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the physician, focusing on skilled interventions.
• Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to carry over therapeutic activities into the child's daily routine.
• Coordinate with referral partners to provide services for children in accordance with physician orders.
• Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs to assure continuation of the therapeutic plan following discharge.
• Document patient care services and care coordination in an electronic medical record system.
• Maintain patient confidence by keeping all information confidential.

Requirements

• Texas State PT license
• Current CPR certification

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
