About This Role

Perform independent medical assessments for United States Veterans, reviewing health records and completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires through a secure Web Portal. This role focuses on medical fact-finding and investigation rather than traditional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Review medical health records through a secure Web Portal
• Perform comprehensive assessments on each veteran
• Complete Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQ's) through the Web Portal
• Document exam findings needed by the VA
• Review and assess an average of 3 Veterans per day
• Find key data points within large electronic medical records
• Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete DBQ's and form medical opinions
• Submit completed DBQ's within 24 hours after an exam

Requirements

• Current license as a Physiatrist
• Board Certified in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology
• Proficient at finding key data points within large electronic medical records
• Able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete DBQ's and form medical opinions
• Strong typing skills
• Skilled at time management, able to stay on task and meet requirements
