Physical Education Teacher

About This Role

The Physical Education Teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students, guiding and encouraging them to develop their academic potential. This role involves designing and delivering lesson plans, managing student behavior, and monitoring individual student progress within a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support the mission, vision, and values of Harmony Public Schools
• Design and implement appropriate instruction for content areas in line with school standards, curriculum, and student needs
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials to maximize student engagement and learning
• Utilize a variety of teaching practices and methodologies to meet individual needs of students from diverse backgrounds
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
• Conduct tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs
• Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulations
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs

Requirements

• Bachelor
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms
• Ability to use effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to use computer including software, database, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
