Shoot and edit material for newscasts, incorporating footage with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view to create compelling, timely, and accurate content for viewers across traditional and digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit material for newscasts
• Elevate stories by incorporating footage with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view
• Create compelling, timely, and accurate content
• Connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms
• Work independently and alongside a supportive team
• Use the latest technology to tell character-driven stories
• Connect with neighbors to capture footage at local events
• Tell stories across platforms including TV, connected television, and digital

Requirements

• 5+ years shooting and editing television news footage
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience
• Operation of ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming
• Knowledge of how to clearly communicate solutions
• Ability to relate to populations and ages
• Positive attitude and eagerness to solve problems
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds
• Open to travel to discover important stories and willing to interact with the community
• Ability to work different shifts, be flexible with schedule changes and able to cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned
• Valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience
• 5+ years experience shooting and editing television news footage
